Mission 

 

We, the Black Student Union of Northern Arizona University, being an established organization associated ourselves for the purpose of motivating students to stay actively involved on campus, coordinating activities to strengthen cultural awareness, and provide a professionally organized body of students on campus that deal with social, cultural, and educational issues. We are committed to promoting cultural diversity by encouraging interaction between the different racial/ethnic groups on the Northern Arizona Campus.

 

Become A Member

Membership in the organization is open to any student presently enrolled at Northern Arizona University - Mountain Campus. Honorary membership is open to any individual who has/is participating in any university function, such as; faculty, staff, and administration. Membership is also extended to Community members holding favorable impression with the Black Student Union.

 

To be a member of BSU, students are required to sign a contract to ensure that they are committed to being an active BSU member. To ensure that students get the most out of their BSU experience, members must complete the following requirements. 

 

• Must participate in a minimum of 3 community service projects per semester

• Must participate in a minimum of 3 fundraising events per semester

• Must attend at least 5 BSU meetings per semester

• Join and actively participate in a service committee

• Represent the organization to the best of your abilities
